Lately, we've been getting icy, snowy, cold weather here in the south. Chai Lattes have been my favorite snow day drink, unfortunately the ones from Starbucks are pretty expensive. I decided to try to make my own and it turned out delicious. The consistency is not as thick as a Chai Latte from Starbucks, so if you plan to use almond milk add some cornstarch or use Half & Half to thicken it up. Warm up with this homemade Chai Tea Latte!

If you're like me, most mornings you roll out of bed already running late to something. Recently, my "late thing" has been yoga class. I've experimented with a variety of fast breakfast options, but this shake has been my favorite. Plus it's vegan and dairy free!
To save even more time, I like slice and freeze the bananas on the weekend and soak my cashews overnight so I can toss them in first thing in the morning. This smoothie is also a great way to sneak in some greens to your morning routine, just add handful of spinach, kale or whatever else you have on hand.
3-5 frozen banana halves
2 tbs organic cacao powder
1/8 cup of soaked cashews or almonds
1/8 - 1/4 cup of lite coconut milk
A few dashes of cinnamon
